Burg

High Five, Burgie. We love you so much.

High Five, Burgie. We love you so much.

My stepmother, Shelley, nominated Burg for a High Five. I can't believe it has taken this long for High Five RVA to recognize one of Richmond's best. I sat down with Burg this morning to find out his thoughts on several different things. Here's what I found out.

H5RVA: So, you're so Richmond. You were found in an abandoned house in Richmond's Northside. Richmond Animal Care and Control scooped you up and helped you start a better life. Richmond Animal League said WE WANT HIM and took you into their shelter. Then you got adopted by someone who works at RAL! (full disclosure, that's me) Do you ever think about how destiny lead you through a really tough spot in your life?

Burg:

H5RVA: If you weren't so content to just travel back and forth to work and sit on the dock in the evenings, what do you think your favorite part of Richmond would be? The Canal Walk? Museums? Don't Look Back tacos? Libby Park? Can Can? Bev's? That one sandwich at Lamplighter on Morris Street? Shindigz? Paper Moon?

Burg:

H5RVA: This High Five project exists to highlight people who are making this world a better place? There's a lot of hustle in Richmond. We try really, really hard. Sometimes it's almost a striving. You seem to know that sometimes we can do a lot for the world just by being. I'm not sure how you learned that, but you've been a great teacher. Do you have any comments on that?

Burg:

H5RVA: We learned that you're sick last week and our hearts broke. Are you scared to die, Burgs? I'm scared for you to die.

Burg:

H5RVA: Do you have any idea what an impact you have had and just how many people love you?

Burg: Actually, I do.
